   = ಅನ್ 1, etc. to say, etc. (C.). ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣ್ಡಿಗೆ ಹೋತು ಎನ್ದು, ಹೆಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಆಡು ಎನ್ದು, ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ (B. 5, 23). ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಬೆಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಕಾಮಿ ಎನ್ದೂ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಗಣ್ಡಿಗೆ ಬಾವುಗ ಎನ್ದೂ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ (5, 32). ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಗಂಗೆದೊಗಲು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ (1, 20). ಯಾವ ಆಟ ಆಡ ಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀ? (1, 16). ಇದನ್ನು ಮೊಸರು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ (My.). see ಬೆಕ್ಕನ್ನು observe that at the end of imitating words, anukaraṇapadas, ಅನ್, ಅನ್ನು etc. are applied to sound, scent, and feeling, e. g. ಗಮಗಮ ಅನ್ನು, ದಬದಬ ಅನ್ನು, ಜುಮ್ ಅನ್ನು, etc.
