   ಕುನ್ತೀ. = ಕೊನ್ತಿ N. of the daughter of the Yādava prince Śūra; she was adopted by Śūra's cousin Kuntibhōja, became one of the wives of Pāṇḍu, and the mother of the Pāṇḍavas. ಅನ್ತೂ ಇನ್ತೂ ಕುನ್ತೀ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ (Prv.). see J. 7, 19; 32, 56. ಕುನ್ತೀ ಹಬ್ಬ an annual festivity of the Kuñcigas, making an image of Kuntī and worshipping it (My.).
