   the twenty-fourth letter of the alphabet (Śmd. 12, 21. 23). in Kannaḍa it is found only in the words ಘ/?/ಯಂ (o. r. ಘಳಿಯಂ), (ಘಳಿಗೆ in one MS. instead of ಘಾ/?/ಗೆ), (ಘಾರಿಗೆ in one MS.), ಘಾ/?/ಗೆ, ಘೋ/?/ಗೆ, ಘಾಸೆ (o. r. ಘಾಸಿ) ಘಾಸರಂ (not in all MSS.; Śmd. 23), ಘಟ್ಟಿ and in a few imitative sounds (22).
