[ನನ್ನಿಗ ಬನ್ನo ಬರಲೀಯದಾರ್ತೈಸಗಿದೀ ವಿಖ್ಯಾತಿಯo Pb. 1, 81; Ap. 3, 17]. ಪತಿಗೈನ್ದು ಯುದ್ಧದೌಳ್ ಬನ್ನಮo ತಾರo (Śmd. 283).ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೈ ಬನ್ನವುಣ್ಟೇ? (Bp. 48, 13). ಬನ್ನದಿo ಬಗೈಗೈಟ್ಟು (J. 19, 38). — ಬನ್ನಬಡಿಸು. -ಪಡಿಸು. to cause to suffer discomfiture, etc. (Bp. 38, 30). — ಬನ್ನಬಡು. -ಪಡು. to suffer ruin, etc. (J. 5, 41). ಅನ್ನದಾನಕ್ಕೈ ಸಮಾನವಿಲ್ಲ, ಬನ್ನ ಬಡುವದು ತಪ್ಪುವದಿಲ್ಲ (Prv.). — ಬನ್ನಮ್ಬಡಿಸು. -o-ಪಡಿಸು. = ಬನ್ನ ಬಡಿಸು. (Śśv. 4, 104).
