[ಕೊಟ್ಟಣಕುಟ್ಟು to pound rice. ನಮ್ಮ ಜಂಗಮ ಲಿಗಂವ್ವ ದೈವವೆನ್ದಾರಾಧಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಂಕರ ದಾಸಿಮಯ್ಯಗಳು ಸರ್ವಭೂತಂಗಳ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಣವ ಕುಟ್ಟಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ Cv. 658]. ಕೊಟ್ಟಣಾ ಕುಟ್ಟಿ ಮಿಣ್ಡನ ಸಾಕಿದ ಹಾಗೆ (Prv.). ಕೊಟ್ಟಣಗೇರಿ. -ಕೇರಿ a street where people live who perform koṭṭaṇa (My.). ಕೊಟ್ಟಣಂಗುಟ್ಟು. -ಂ-ಕುಟ್ಟು to beat the husk from paddy (Bp. 23, 19). ಕೊಟ್ಟಣದ ಅಕ್ಕಿ a kind of hand-pounded rice.
