   = ದೆವಸ, ದೇವಸ a day (ಪಗಲ್ Śm. 18). ದಿವಸಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ದವಸವಾಗುವದು (Prv.). ದಿವಸ ಕಳೆ. -ದಿನಗಳೆ (B. 5, 124). ದಿವಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕು to procrastinate (C.). ದಿವಸ ದಿವಸ rep. ದಿನ ದಿನ. ದಿವಸ ದಿವಸಕೆ (C. Bp. 47, 7). ದಿವಸ ಹತ್ತು days to be required, (it takes...days, C.). ವಿಲಾಯತಿಯ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿನ್ದ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿವಸಗಳು ಹತ್ತುತ್ತಿದ್ದವೋ, ಅವುಗಳಕ್ಕಿನ್ತ ಬಹಳ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದಿವಸಗಳು ಈಗ ವಿಲಾಯತಿಯಿನ್ದ ಹಿನ್ದುಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಹತ್ತುವದಿಲ್ಲ (B. 5, 226). ದಿವಸ ಹಿಡಿ. = ದಿವಸ ಹತ್ತು (My.). ಮುಮ್ಬಯಿನ್ದ ಕಾಶಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿವಸ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತವೋ etc. (B. 5, 227).
