   = ಮುಣ್ಡು, ಮೌಣ್ಡ, ಮೌಣ್ಣು, ಮೌಣ್ಣೈ. shaved, close-shaved, bald, having no hair on the head; a man with a shaved head (ಬೋಳ Śmd. 1). 2, hornless; destitute of some limb (see ಮುಣ್ಡಕಾರ). 3, stripped of leaves or branches; a tree stripped of its leaves or branches, the trunk of a lopped tree, a pollard (ಛಿನ್ನಕುಜಾತ, ಕಡಿದಮರ, ಕಡಿದ ಭೃಂಗಮರ, ತರಿದ ಮರ Nn. 12). 4, a headless body (ಕಬನ್ಥ 12; ಕಬನ್ಥ, ರುಣ್ಡ Hlā.; ರುಣ್ಡ Mr. 397; ಕಡುಕು Śm. 80; ಅಟ್ಟೈ 89). 5, a bald or shaven head, a bald pate. 6, pointless, blunt. 7, low, mean. 8, a barber. 9, the head. 10, myrrh. 11, N. of a daitya. see Bp. 24, 2; 36, 15; 38, 25. — ಮುಣ್ಡ ಮೋಚು. to put a covering on the head as the sign of being a brahmanical widow (My.).
