ಕಿಟ್ಟೆಲ್ ನಿಘಂಟು

   = ಪಚ್ಚಡ, q. v., etc., a stout cotton cloth, etc. (ಹಚ್ಚವಡಿ). (ದುಪ್ಪಟೆ Mr. 342; ನೀಶಾರ G.; C.; see Nr. s. ಹಚ್ಚಡಿಕೈ; Bp. 47, 25. 47). ಮಂಜು ಗಾಳಿ ಇವುಗಳ ಬಾಧೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಹಚ್ಚಡ ಮುನ್ತಾದ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಶೇಷ (ನೀಶಾರ Si. 224). ಹಚ್ಚಡವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸುವವನು (G. 308). ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚಡವಿಲ್ಲ (B. 3. 91). ಹಚ್ಚಡ ಹೊದಿಸಿದರೆ ಹುಚ್ಚು ಹೋದೀತೇ? -ಕಮ್ಬಳಿಯವನ ಹೊಡದು, ಹಚ್ಚಡವನ ಹೆದರಿಸಬೇಕು (Prvs.).
