ಕಿಟ್ಟೆಲ್ ನಿಘಂಟು

   = ಅಮ್ಬಕಳ, ಅಮ್ಬಿಲ etc. a kind of pap or porridge made of jōḷa, rice, or rāgi, to which buttermilk is generally added (C.; Te.; Tu. ಅಮ್ಬೆಲಿ). [ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿಯಮ್ಬಲಿಯಂ ಬಡ್ಡಿಸಿದೊಡೆ Vr. 188, 8]. ಅರನಾಲಕ, ಸೌವೀರ etc. ಅನ್ದರೆ ಬಿಗಿದ ಗಂಜಿ, ಬೋನ ಬೊಸ್ತ ಗಂಗಿ; ಉಕ್ಕುತಿಳಿಗೊ ಕಲಗಚ್ಚಿಗೂ ಅಮ್ಬಲಿಗೂ ಹೆಸರು (Si. 311). ಅಮ್ಬಲಿ ಆಗಿ ಇರುವ ಗಂಜಿ (ಯಾವಾಗು, ಉಷ್ಣಿಕೆ etc. 315). ಅಮ್ಬಲೀ ಕುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಮೀಸೇ ತಿಕ್ಕುವವನೊಬ್ಬ. -ಅಮ್ಬಲಿಗೆ ಗತಿಯಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ ಹಮ್ಬಲಿಸುವುದು ಯಾಕೆ? -ಅಮ್ಬಲೀಲಿ ಕೆಣ್ಡೆಯಾ ತೊಣಚಿನಾಯನ್ನ?
