ಕಿಟ್ಟೆಲ್ ನಿಘಂಟು

   = ಆಸರ, ಆಸರೆ that to which anything is annexed, or with which anything is closely connected, or on which anything depends or rests: a seat, an abode. 2, a support, shelter, refuge (ಗವಿ, ಗರುಡಿ, ಗೊತ್ತು, ನೆಲೆ, ಪೊ/?/ಲ್, ಇಕ್ಕೆ, ಆಗರ etc. Śm. 58; Kk. 64). 3, protection, help. 4, the person or thing in which any quality or article inherent. 5, at the end of compounds: depending or resting on, endowed with (Kāvy. IV, 2, 42; V, 2). see ಪೂರ್ವಾಶ್ರಯ. -ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕೊಡು to afford help or support, etc. (My.; B. 5, 10. 304). ಆಶ್ರಯಗೊಳ್ಳು. -ಕೊಳ್ಳು to have recourse to shelter, etc. (My.).
